USL Golden Jubilee Song Contest
The composition of the USL Golden Jubilee Song is an open competition with two parts,
namely: the composition of Lyrics and the composition of Melody.
Part 1: Composition of Lyrics
| 1) | Anyone is qualified to submit original lyrics for the USL Golden Jubilee Song. |
| 2) | The lyrics should be in a readable computer printout. The contestant should write and sign his/her name at the back page of the entry. Note that the copy of the entries submitted may not be returned to the contestants. |
| 3) | There is no limit for the number of entries anyone can submit. |
| 4) | Each entry should be accompanied by a duly filled-out form that is provided for by the Screening Committee. |
| 5) | The theme of the song is: USL @ 50: Devoted to Mission and Committed to Excellence. |
| 6) | The lyrics should be in English language. It should not be too long. A USL Grade 1 pupil should practically be able to memorize it. It should be for everyone to sing. |
| 7) | The entry for the composition of the lyrics should be submitted to the Screening Committee on or before September 30, 2013. |
| 8) | The Screening Committee may screen out entries that are obviously not seriously written or containing foul language. The Screening Committee will hand over the entries that are not screened out to the Judging Committee for judging. |
| 9) | The Judging Committee will select the best among the entries. |

The criteria are:
10) The Champion will receive Five Thousand Pesos (5,000) prize. 11) The winning entry automatically becomes the intellectual property of USL. 12) The USL Administration has the right to edit the winning composition. Please personally submit your entries to any of the following: 1) Dr. Ferdinand Cortez (University Research Center) 2) Mrs. Alicia Tuliao (CTVEd Office) 3) Miss Mary Ann Baquiran (High School Principal’s Office)
Later, the composition of Melody will be announced. |
