BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN)

The BS Nursing program aims to develop professional nurses that will assume the caring role in the promotion of health, prevention of diseases, restoration of health, alleviation of suffering and, when recovery is not possible, attending to dying patients towards peaceful death . It further aims to produce nurses that are able to apply analytical and critical thinking in the nursing practice and must be competent in the following Key Areas of Responsibility:

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHARMACY (BSPHARM)

The BS Pharmacy program aims to provide the society with pharmacists who are scientifically competent to deliver the full spectrum of pharmaceutical services required in health care delivery. After finishing the program, the graduate shall have acquired and developed the knowledge, skills, aptitude and competencies in:

1. Conducting scientific research methods and processes;
2. Developing drugs for prevention, diagnosis, mitigation and treatment of diseases of man and animals;
3. Identifying, compounding, manufacturing, storing and dispensing of drugs;
4. Managing drug establishments based on sound entrepreneurial practice;
5. Providing pharmaceutical care as well as counseling clients in the proper use of both prescribed and patient chosen medications;
6. Providing drug related information;
7. Advocating professional and ethical pharmacy practice;
8. Contributing to the overall social, mental, emotional and physical health of individuals, communities and country.

BACHELOR IN MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE /MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY (BMLS/BMT)

The Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science (Medical Technology) program is geared towards developing a foundation in the fundamentals of medical laboratory science and make it responsive to the demands for manpower in the paramedical service utilizing the highly innovative technologies. It consist of clinical laboratory testing which plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases such that medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist must have a combination of education, clinical laboratory internship and specialized training.

The Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science aims to:

1. develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills in the performance of clinical laboratory procedures needed to help the physician in the proper diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention of diseases;
2. develop skills in critical and analytical thinking to advance knowledge in Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Science and contribute to the challenges of the profession;
3. develop leadership skills and to promote competence and excellence and;
4. uphold moral and ethical values in the service of society and in the practice of the profession.
